Hey There!  Do you sometimes feel that God isn't there for you or does He
sometimes seem distant?  Well, let me tell you that HE IS there!

I don't know if you've given your life to Jesus or not but If you haven't it's
the most important and amazing decision you'll ever make! All you have to
do is ask Him to come into your heart and forgive your sins and He will
change your life. The bible says that "If you confess with your mouth and
believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord" then you are saved". It also
says that "No one can come to the Father except by the Son". He's waiting
for you, he loves you more than you could ever imagine!

The bible says that God "Will never leave us or forsake us"..."He will never
fail us". No matter how we feel, He's always there. He promises that He'll
always be there but not that we'll always feel or sense His presence.
That's where faith comes in. It's definitely a choice to believe that God is
there. The bible says "We are saved by faith" ....it's a choice to believe
what the word of God tells us. It also tells us to "Walk by faith and not by
sight". God doesn't want us to look at our situation but just believe that He
can handle it and that He will! He also tells us in His word that sometimes
He will hide His face from us...we can't confuse this with leaving us. He
does this to strengthen us...to strengthen our faith. There were many
people in the bible who felt abandoned by God.
David, who God called
"a man after my own heart", said, "Save me, O God, For the flood
waters are up to my neck, Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire, I
can't find a foothold to stand on. I am in deep water, and the floods
overwhelm me. I am exhausted from crying for help. My throat is
parched and dry. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my
God to help me" David also said, "How long, O Lord? Will you forget
me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?". God didn't
leave, abandon or forsake David but He was molding and
strengthening David for the plan that He had for David's life.

The best thing we can do as believers is to praise and thank God even in
the tough times...even when He seems far away or not there at all. David
also said, "But I have trusted in your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in your
salvation. I will sing to the Lord because He has dealt bountifully with me"

Also, let Him know how you feel...Yes, God knows everything but He
desires relationship and fellowship with us. He wants you to cry out to
Him. David spent his whole life crying out to God even though God knew
just how he felt all the time.

There was a time in my walk when I felt that God had left me...He seemed
nowhere to be found. I had to press in and just believe that His word was
truth...that He'd never leave me. Through that time He was making me
stronger. I can look back on that time and as hard as it was for me to get
through, I know that God was right there the whole time and He knew my
despair...but He also knew it was molding me to be more like Him!

Praise God for trials and storms because without them we could
never grow in our relationship with our Daddy, our father, our God.
He is an awesome, and faithful God.

In Christ...

Caroline
